Why Scotch 80s Chooses Bottled Water Delivery
The Scotch 80s is one of Las Vegas’s oldest and most storied historic neighborhoods, a tract of roughly 550 large-lot homes developed beginning in the early 1950s just west of Las Vegas Boulevard near West Oakey Boulevard. The neighborhood takes its name from the Scotch whisky brand used as a marketing theme by the original developer, and it was designed as Las Vegas’s first upscale residential subdivision. Notable longtime residents have included Howard Hughes, Wayne Newton, and multiple Nevada governors. The Scotch 80s is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
The Scotch 80s carries a piece of Las Vegas history in every one of its mature-tree-lined streets — and yet the water flowing through its mid-century pipes is the same hard, mineral-laden municipal supply as the rest of the Valley. For a neighborhood where properties have appreciated based on historical significance and character, having quality drinking water delivered is simply one more way to maintain the standard of the address. Silver Springs Water by Culligan brings Purified Water and Alkaline High pH Water to Scotch 80s residences on a scheduled basis.
